About Bread of the Word
Christian | Reformed | Gentle
My name is Tyler, and I am your resident “Lo-Fi Theologian.” I am Reformed by conviction, autistic by God’s design, and I podcast through Books of the Bible verse by verse. I recently completed a three-year series on the Book of Job. Come along for weekly expositions in the Word of God.
The term Lo-Fi Theologian is a phrase I have developed to describe the sort of Christian I wish to be. Borrowing from the imagery of Lo-Fi music, I endeavor to be gentle yet substantive, simple but never simplistic.
If you are interested in the Bible, but tired of the pomp and pride, this is a welcome place. I have no formal credentials to speak of, but I find myself a lifelong learner.
Let’s learn about the Scriptures together.
I am also a four-year member of the Truth in Love Network: a diverse fellowship of pastors, podcasters, and content creators. We are diverse in some of our doctrinal distinctives, but united in the Gospel. We aim to labor together in Word and doctrine and be an encouragement to the body of Christ as we do.

From the 2025 Laborers Conference
📜 Beliefs: I stand on the foundational truths of the Apostle's Creed, Athanasian Creed, and Nicene Creed. I also adhere to the Westminster Confession of Faith, always acknowledging that these documents yield to the supreme authority of Scripture.

Be blessed with the Words of Christ:
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
-Matthew 11:28–30
